About Course Certificates
A Course Certificate is an official LabaCloud credential that confirms that you successfully completed a course on LabaCloud.
You can see all the certificates you’ve earned on your Accomplishments page. From there, you can download or share your certificates.
If you took courses that didn’t offer a Course Certificate, those will also be listed on your in your Accomplishments.
A Course Certificate includes:
The course name. The instructor’s signature. The logo of the partner institution offering the course (if the institution provided it). A verification URL that allows others to check the certificate’s authenticity. A statement that LabaCloud has confirmed the identity of the learner who completed the course. A Course Certificate does not include:
Academic credit from the partner institution offering the course. The final grade you got in the course. Your ID photo. The hours you spent working on coursework. A printed or mailed copy of the Course Certificate.
Your certificate for a course will be in whatever language you took the course in. LabaCloud cannot provide translated certificates.
Aside from what is listed on your Course Certificate, we are unable to verify any additional information or documentation about your course (such as your assessment grades). If you need to show evidence of your grades, you could provide a screenshot of your Grades tab for the course.
Check if a course offers a certificate You can check if a course offers a Course Certificate on the landing page for that course (the page where you go to enroll).
You can search for the course in the LabaCloud catalog, then click it to open the course landing page. If the course offers a certificate upon completion, it will be listed on this page.
In order to get a Course Certificate, you must:
Complete Name Verification. (Some courses may require ID Verification, which includes submitting a photo and verified ID)
Pass all required assessments in the course, or meet the course passing threshold for a cumulative graded course
Pay the Course Certificate fee, or apply and be approved for LabaCloud Financial Aid
You can pay the Course Certificate fee when you enroll in the course.
If you are looking at course materials for free using the audit option, you can pay to upgrade to the Certificate option any time.
If you take a course in audit mode, you can upgrade to a paid Certificate at any time during or after your audit.
If you pay for a Certificate in a course you’ve already taken, any grades you already earned will be saved, but you may need to complete more coursework that wasn’t available in the audit version.
To upgrade to a Certificate in a course you’re already enrolled in:
Not all courses offer Certificates. If you can’t find the option to upgrade to a Certificate in a course, it may not be available.
After you pay the fee for a course or Guided Project, you either have 180 days after you pay, or 180 days after the program start date (whichever is longer), to complete the program and earn a certificate.
After 180 days, your payment will expire, but all of your progress in the learning program will be saved. You can pay the fee again to finish the program and earn your certificate.
